Program created to provide entrepreneurs and businesses seed-stage capital to companies that are commercializing a product or process. The funds exist to stimulate private investment in Texas-based companies with high growth potential.

Work Experience

• Creation of the Rio Grande Valley’s Largest Seed Fund program, including the branding, design, logo development, guidelines and program structure.
• Due to social distancing measures, the seed fund program was adapted to provide COVID-19 Relief Grants and Emergency Bridge Loans to struggling businesses in Brownsville, Texas.
• Development of COVID-19 related relief that amounted to $440,000 in grants disbursed, with an additional $9.6 million in federal assistance from the SBA through our program.
• Lead Director of the Brownsville COVID-19 Response Team, assisting 846 businesses and saving 1,518 at risk-employees during lockdown restrictions.
• Successfully launched the StartUp Texas Seed Fund, undertaking over 3 Pitch Summits.
• Awarded the Gold Rank Award by the International Economic Development Council for the StartUp Texas Program.
